EagleHawk Participates in “Drones Over Downtown” Community Event
EagleHawk was one of 25 drone industry companies that participated in the third annual “Drones Over Downtown” event in Syracuse, NY on August 6. The event was hosted by The Tech Garden, a business incubator that's part of CenterState CEO, an independent and forward-thinking economic development strategist, business leadership organization and chamber of commerce dedicated to the success of its members and the prosperity of the region. The event included a large net for drone demos so inexperienced attendees could try their hand at flying a drone. “Drones Over Downtown” is a community event where people can learn more about drone technology and the growing UAS ecosystem in Central and Upstate New York.
EagleHawk CEO & co-Founder Patrick Walsh gave a presentation to attendees on how EagleHawk is using drones and thermal imaging technology to improve commercial inspections.
Drone technology focuses on the unmanned aircraft, but it's also about developing the software that allows drones to make jobs safer, more efficient and more cost-effective. Central New York is becoming an epicenter for drone-enabled companies and has invested $9 million dollars in the past 3 years in 17 technology startups in Central New York – including EagleHawk.
EagleHawk is the leading provider of information services using drones and thermal imaging technology. We specialize in delivering full-service inspection solutions for commercial roofs, bridges, solar panels, building envelopes, facades, district heating systems, and more. We work with commercial clients across the US, helping them reduce risk by implementing a proactive approach for managing these large-scale assets. Founded in 2016, we saw an opportunity where traditional inspection methods are often ineffective and expensive. Until EagleHawk, there hasn’t been a cost-effective way to accurately assess the condition of these areas on a regular basis. We are committed to helping our clients make better-informed decisions when managing their assets using quantitative data, expert analysis and georeferenced imagery.
