EagleHawk Supports University of Buffalo & United Way “Take Flight” Fundraising Event

EagleHawk was a proud supporter on September 20 at the University of Buffalo and United Way’s fundraising breakfast where the UB Employees Campaign for the Community’s 2019 campaign was announced.

EagleHawk team members and UB alum Jacob Albright and Will Schulmeister piloted a small drone at the event held in the Center for the Arts atrium that dropped confetti over the crowd to celebrate the new “Take Flight” campaign. This year’s fundraising goal is $850,000.

For more than 35 years, the UB Employees Campaign for the Community has given all university employees and retirees a way to make a meaningful contribution to charitable organizations worldwide.

The campaign consistently ranks among the most successful of its kind among the nation’s colleges and universities. UB donors can choose to contribute to any of more than 2,800 health, human service, educational, environmental and cultural organizations. Historically, over 80 percent of the money raised through the campaign has been designed for agencies in the Buffalo-Niagara region. These donations help tens of thousands of community members by providing services that align closely with UB’s priorities for community engagement in the areas of health and wellness, neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and pre-K-16 education.
